Issues - Universal Health Care

The Network: 

• Plans and takes action through its Health Care Task Force chaired by  Shari Pollesch (810-632-6433) ;
  

• Mobilized activists from 17 UU congregations to collect 5,000 signatures on petitions to put universal health care on the ballot in Michigan; 
  

• MUUSJN helped keep the pressure on Congress & President Obama to pass historic health reform!
  

• Now we need to need to defend reform from right wing attacks and keep moving strong health reform forward.  
  

• Developed a discussion guide for groups better understand the new law's benefits in 2010. (See link to guide in next column).
