• Poverty Task Force, co-chaired by Sarida Ross and  Chris Monk, held a workshop at the Tides of Change conference;
  

• Worked with the Michigan League for Human Services that successfully advocated for expanded Food Stamp benefits;
  

• Is promoting adoption of a progressive income tax for Michigan;
  

• Advocated for expansion of child care funding for low-income families 
  

ACTION:

Call your State Representative and your State Senator, urging them to support REVENUE OPTIONS, including expanding sales tax to luxury/non-essential services, closing tax loopholes and putting a graduated income tax on the ballot.
