The Network

• Updated its members on human rights abuses occuring in Darfur and encouraged them to take action through the UU Service Committee Website.
  

• Organized a campaign to educate the public regarding Proposal 2, the anti-affirmative action ballot proposal.  Prop 2 was defeated in all cities where our UU Network had a presence.   
  

• Organized a petition drive to oppose legislation that would outlaw gay marriage in Michigan. The bill was defeated.
  

• In 2010, encouraged congregations to collect signatures on Full Equality petitions that support LGBT persons' rights to marry, adopt children & serve in the armed forces.

SIGN LETTER TO FIRE CYBER-BULLYIER!

Andrew Shirvell, a Michigan assistant attorney general, was condemned during October 2010 by the Michigan Civil Rights Commission for cyber-bullying Chris Armstrong. Chris is the University of Michigan student body president who happens to be gay.  CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD A LETTER to send to Attorney General Mike Cox urging him to end Mr.  Shirvell's employment as Michigan's assistant attorney general.  Please report your action to: randyblock@yahoo.com
